ترجمة الآية 17 من سورة Yusuf - English - سورة يوسف : عدد الآيات 111 - - الصفحة 237 - الجزء 12.
﴿ قَالُواْ يَٰٓأَبَانَآ إِنَّا ذَهَبۡنَا نَسۡتَبِقُ وَتَرَكۡنَا يُوسُفَ عِندَ مَتَٰعِنَا فَأَكَلَهُ ٱلذِّئۡبُۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ بِمُؤۡمِنٖ لَّنَا وَلَوۡ كُنَّا صَٰدِقِينَ ﴾
[ يوسف: 17]
﴿ ترجمة: قالوا ياأبانا إنا ذهبنا نستبق وتركنا يوسف عند متاعنا فأكله الذئب وما ﴾
They said:"O our father! We went racing with one another, and left Yusuf (Joseph) by our belongings and a wolf devoured him; but you will never believe us even when we speak the truth."
English - Sahih International
They said, "O our father, indeed we went racing each other and left Joseph with our possessions, and a wolf ate him. But you would not believe us, even if we were truthful."
Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(12:17) and said, "O father! we were absorbed in running races, and we had left Joseph with our things, when a wolf came and devoured him: but you will never believe us, even though we were truthful".
