﴿ إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ يَٰٓأَبَتِ لِمَ تَعۡبُدُ مَا لَا يَسۡمَعُ وَلَا يُبۡصِرُ وَلَا يُغۡنِي عَنكَ شَيۡـٔٗا ﴾
[ مريم: 42]
﴿ ترجمة: إذ قال لأبيه ياأبت لم تعبد ما لا يسمع ولا يبصر ولا ﴾
When he said to his father: "O my father! Why do you worship that which hears not, sees not and cannot avail you in anything?

[Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all?

(19:42) (Remind them of the time,) when he said to his father, "Dear father! why do you worship those things, which do not hear nor see nor avail you anything?
